Miss Gabrielle Pike
Originally from Texas, I moved to Chicago during high school. I attended DePaul University for my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology of Urban Education. While working as a classroom assistant, I continued at DePaul for my Masters of Education in Literacy and Specialized Instruction. I received my Professional Educator License in 2013 and am endorsed in Elementary Education and as a Licensed Behavior Specialist 1. I was nominated in 2013-2014 for the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching.
I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.
I have lived in many neighborhoods in Chicago, but currently enjoy residing in Southport Corridor. I have a beautiful 4-legged chocolate labrador “child,” named Kona-Li and a goldfish named Spot at home.
