My Philosophy of Education
The Teaching Philosophy of a Future Teacher
I believe that a teacher is morally obligated to enter the classroom with only the highest expectations for each and every one of her students. Thus, the teacher maximizes the positive benefits that are naturally in place within her students; therefore, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy of excellence from raw materials. Through dedication, perseverance, and hard work her students will rise to the occasion; resulting in the closing of the education gap that is ever-present between our nation’s students.
I will always strive to cultivate the minds of our youth with culture, art, language, collaborative, and hands-on activities. I want to allow students the ability to express themselves openly and creatively through various forms of mediums, in order to best meet their needs as an educator, mentor, and an advocator.
I want to nurture my students so that they may grow into
responsible and productive members of society by teaching them skills through
everyday connections in a variety or investigative, explorative, and
collaborative projects; teaching them skills that will be utilized in a
forward-moving globalized economy.
I want to support the next generation of youth so that they develop a strong sense of autonomy and self worth via creating a safe and positive student-centered environment that encourages curiousity, growth, and development.
